Social Security provides critical benefits to more than 50 million Americans and I firmly believe that these benefits must be protected.  I am concerned about the solvency of Social Security, but Congress's spending spree cannot continue at the cost of American's benefits.  I believe Congress must take steps to ensure than every dollar taken out of someone's paycheck for Social Security is only used to pay for Social Security.
