Washington’s third congressional district covers the Southwest Corner of Washington state. It stretches from the Pacific Coast in the west, to the Gifford Pinchot National Forest in the east, and from Olympia in the north to the Columbia River in the South. Southwest Washington is home to a wide range of employers that includes a campus for Hewlett-Packard, the headquarters of Pendleton Woolen Mill, Longview Fibre and hundreds of small- and medium-sized businesses.
On a clear day, the jagged ridge of Mt. St. Helens can be seen from virtually every corner of the district. Now home to nearly 780,000 residents, Southwest Washington’s 3rd District was the second fastest growing Congressional District in Washington state.
