    t sales taxes. However, even though these online retailers do not charge them, we still owe sales and use taxes on our annual tax return!

    I've introduced the Marketplace Equity Act (MEA: H.R. 3179) with Congresswoman Jackie Speier which shifts the burden of tax collection and reporting from the consumer to the online retailer, just like our local shops.

    It's time the government stopped picking marketplace winners & losers by passing MEA.
