  6. God bless those who lost their lives 71 years ago today at the horrific attack on Pearl Harbor. Today’s Star-Ledger has a great story about a group of Pearl Harbor survivors in New Jersey that meet up every year to remember this day. Their story is truly inspiring.

  7. Arthur Brooks and Edwin Feulner write in USA Today, "In order to get serious about addressing America's deficits in both money and opportunity, we have to deal with our real problem: Our government is too big and it spends too much. It is wrecking our economy and mortgaging our future." Check out the piece and let me know what you think.

  10. Forbes contributor Doug Bandow writes, “Politicians don’t need more money. They need to spend less and more wisely. That is the only answer to the 'fiscal cliff.' And it is the only answer to the longer-term debt crisis.” What do you think?

  13. I penned a bipartisan letter to Speaker Boehner urging him to include an extension of the alternative minimum tax (AMT) fix in any fiscal cliff negotiations. The Wall Street Journal reports that New Jersey would go from 265,000 AMT filers to almost 2.2 million if the tax fix is not extended.

  17. In case you missed my interview on Fox Business Network’s The Willis Report last night, be sure to check it out. Cheryl Casone and I talked about a number of issues surrounding the “fiscal cliff.” One thing is certain, Washington has a spending problem, not a revenue problem.
