Wicker Honored with National Tax-Limitation Committee’s “Tax Fighter Award”

Wicker receives award for his leadership on protecting American taxpayers

Friday, September 21, 2012

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Roger Wicker (R-Miss.) today received the “Tax Fighter Award” from the National Tax-Limitation Committee (NTLC).  Wicker received the award for his leadership in the Senate by supporting legislation that lowers taxes and reduces federal spending.

“Unless current policy is changed, our national debt will continue to impede recovery and remain an unfair burden on future generations,” said Wicker. “I remain committed to limiting government, lowering taxes, and reducing government spending.”

Scored votes include efforts to repeal the President’s healthcare bill, a constitutional amendment to balance the federal budget, and disapproval of the President’s authority to increase the debt limit.

The National Tax-Limitation Committee is a pro-taxpayer advocacy organization that seeks limits on taxes, spending, and deficits at all levels of government.
