    I bought a 120 GB intel ssd for 100€ and a wd's 500 GB HDD for 75€.

    I have programs and windows on SSD, but games are on HDD. Just for the comparison: Office 2010 was opening about 10 seconds on my old HDD, but now, it opens in 1 second on SSD.

    HDDs (not SSDs though, i think) are actually quite waterproof because they are absolutely airtight in order to keep the disks clean for the actuators.
