Dear Friend:

As we come together with family and friends this holiday season, there is so much for which we can be grateful. We live in a nation where possibilities are limitless; where the American spirit is resilient, overcoming each and every challenge we face. Ours is a nation where we look out for each other and share a core belief that we will always strive to be better and to do more.

At your family dinners and special gatherings this year, I encourage you to keep in mind those Americans who are struggling, and as a nation, we must continue to give comfort and aid to those who need it most.  As we enter 2013, I hope we all renew our efforts, large and small, to care for and support one another.

This holiday season, let us also not forget to leave room in our thoughts for the brave men and women of the Armed Forces, who sacrifice time with their loved ones in order to defend us overseas. To all those serving, I hope and pray for your safety and speedy return in the coming year.

From my family to yours, Happy Holidays, and may you have a wonderful New Year.

Sincerely,

André Carson
