On July 19, Corrine Brown spoke in House of Representatives about the importance of stimulus funding for education under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Some Republicans call the stimulus bill a disaster. Here are the facts for education: The stimulus bill gave states $82 Billion for education, which created or saved 423,000 education jobs in 2009-2010 and 320,000 so far this year. That's not what I call a disaster.
