    My Dearest Brothers and Sisters,

    There is much strife and seeming complexity regarding peace and brotherhood among all of us in the world. There are many, who believe they have the right answer and are militant to impose their “right” answer on all. They seem to forget the earliest message of our holy scriptures, whether the K...oran, the Bible or the Thora, namely that each of us, within our hearts, have been provided with the spirit and love of the Father of us all. This was revealed to our common earthly father, Adam, who understood this in his heart before the writing of any scripture. Each of us have access to this fundamental truth, whether Muslim, Christian, Jew and also our fellow human beings, who have not had the good and fortunate access to the teachings. When we pray, we pray to our Father, present and living within in hearts of each of us. The secret to the peace and brotherhood we all yearn for is to see the presence of our Father in each of us and to love each other as our Father loves us. Within this context, the actions required to address the problems of our contemporary times will not seem insurmountable.

    “We have sent by inspiration to you as We commended to Abraham, Moses and Jesus, namely that you should be steadfast in religion and make no divisions therein… Allah is our Lord and your Lord… there is no contention between us and you. Allah will bring us together, and to Him is our Homecoming.” (Sura 42.13 - 15)

    My access to our Father is through the Christian teaching, neither less nor more important than the teachings of Abraham or Mohammad. It is the Christmas season, a time when Christians celebrate the love of the Father for and within us all. I give you the following teaching of the Apostle Paul and invite you, whether Muslim, Christian, Jew or a brother seeking access to our Father, to live this teaching within your life:

    “If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

    Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.     I would like to share with you, Congressman you are right on the dot!!!! ...under today's rules, laws, people's poor judgment, lack of a true system of moral values, law enforcement profiling, wrong psychiatric approach, lack of communication and lack of true concern for human feelings, and the FDA on top of everyth...ing! Lincoln's mother would have never been Lincoln's mother, and we would have never had this TOP RATED PRESIDENT as he was. And, I am pretty sure you understand the reasoning behind that!, I hope!... Unfortunately, brains are being turned into trash by their own families and peers, and then "buried" in hospitals, jails, with no return, and no remedy. Parents need to be parents!!!! The system is not a parent!!!     Hello Mr. Ryan,
    I work as a teacher in a high school, so you can imagine my recent fears. I am reaching out to you to make a suggestion. I wanted to suggest encouragement to the federal government to create a federal mandate to supply schools with extra funding in order to have an armed police officer in every school across the nation. I kbow that my school does not have the funding to do this.... As an educator, I would put my life on the line for ANY of my students. However, I too feel that gun-free zones are a magnet for mentally ill attackers. I beg you to do whatever you can to place an armed policeman in every school across the nation! That would allow for expedited consideration of any deal to avert the fiscal cliff, as suspending the rules prevents any amendments from being offered and limits debate to one hour.     Mr. Ryan, as one of your constituents I am urging you to reconsider your stance on gun control. Enough is enough. We have to pass some sensible legislation controlling the sale and distribution of guns in this country. I have felt that Ohio has been traveling in the wrong direction on this issue since the conceal carry laws were passed several years ago. I think it is time that the pendulum swings back to the center on this very important issue.

    My thoughts on today. Usually there are enough posts about anything that happens within the world here on facebook that i would not say much. There have been many posts today over what has happened, and there will be many more, but I could not hold this in. Today I pray for all the families of each child and adult that were taken up to be with our lord, no matter what religion they follow. I pray ...for the town, for the loss of a loved one is hard to cope, even harder when just a child. I also pray for the soldier's family that paid the ultimate price for our freedom today in Afghanistan from a suicide bomber, always remember our troops no matter what. The shooting today just supports my view on gun laws and that there should be more armed citizens in our nation. Over the years there have been more and more accounts of shootings of our loved ones by just a handful of people and we as Americans along with our government are letting it happen. This is not a time to force more gun laws upon our nation, it is time to make it law for every citizen to be armed. Every household should be trained and then given a weapon to protect themselves, just like the worlds safest country Switzerland enacts. I also believe that principals, vice principals, professors, and even teachers at a school should be trained to handle a weapon and be armed while on campus. We trust our teachers with the success of our children's lives by teaching them, and something needs to be done to better keep them safe while at school. Yes, many teachers have done very noble and heroic acts in many different situations from training that has helped mitigate the outcome of a shooter. This school's principal was shot in the leg, had she met this man and been armed, maybe just one less loved one would have been taken from us today. I believe there should be more officials allowed to be armed on a military post as well as college campuses and malls across America. More armed citizens means less crime, less loved ones taken from us, less funerals. No it will never stop it, but if there were more armed citizens willing to fight to keep our families here in our own land safe, then people who's minds choose to do something so insane will have more of a fight when they do or even help them choose not to.     My name is Rachel Kenyon. I am a proud and battle-tested Army wife and mom of two beautiful babes, one with autism. As Committee confers to reconcile House and Senate versions of the FY2013 NDAA, I personally ask... for your acceptance and consideration of the attached 2,497 petition signatures and 421 individual comments regarding the Caring for Military Kids with Autism Act/Gillibrand Autism Amendment. I have spent the last two years pouring my heart and soul into seeing this legislation pass. I thank those of you who have offered your support and I beg those of you who are hesitant to accept this legislation to look again. Look at our bravest families. Look at the thousands of names and stories our citizens have lent to this cause. They represent only a small fraction of our military families in crisis. They speak for the thousands who are simply unable to fight for this while fighting every day for our country and for their own children with autism who need care.

    Currently, TRICARE military healthcare provides less than half the recommended treatments for autism, and only to children of active duty service members.

    Service members who retire after more than twenty years and Wounded Warriors forced to medically retire are stripped of what little treatment TRICARE allows via the Extended Care Health Option (ECHO).

    On Thursday, May 17, 2012, Congressman John Larson took to the House floor armed with embarrassingly large photos of our little family and made the case for Caring for Military Kids with Autism Act to be included as an amendment to the FY2013 NDAA. It worked, because for Mr. Larson, this had become personal. It worked because Rep. Tom Rooney had the courage to walk up to Chairman Buck McKeon and tell him it was personal. Mr. Rooney has two nephews with autism. Mr. McKeon did the right thing, because now he understood, it was personal. The amendment passed as part of the NDAA in the House.

    Senator Gillibrand and several bipartisan cosponsors passed a similar amendment in the Senate. Now our thousands of military families await conference committee members to approve this life-changing legislation.

    I contact you today because this fight is so very personal for so many of us serving our country each day. Not only do I want my husband to feel that his more than 26 years of service warrant the medical care our daughter with autism needs, but I want my daughter to have the security of being able to access the tools that can give her a richer, more meaningful life.

    It’s personal because I now hold 23,000 other children in my heart, and more than that many parents who serve our country. I love them as I love my own. I want them to feel proud of their country’s service to them in return. I want them to sleep at night, knowing that though autism may have knocked on their door, they can live their lives to the fullest with the care they need and deserve. It’s personal.

    I started this petition on Change.org several months ago to garner support for this legislation. I believe in my heart that if you read even a small portion of the petition comments from your constituents, both military and civilian, you all will choose to do the right thing. To take this fight personally. To share with your fellow staffers, Senators and Representatives that our families are proud. That our children are worthy. That if just one military child was denied the cancer treatments he or she needed, we would not be wasting time with emails and petitions and action alerts. A true American who hears that 23,000 military children are being denied the medical standard of care for autism takes that personally. Well, for real American patriots, it is so very personal.

    I appreciate your time and I pray for all of you and your loved ones, because I know that your own public service to our country is so vital as well.

    For our little family, we will be spending another holiday season living with autism in our house and praying so hard that this is one fight we can say we have found victory.

I don't want to apply got public assistance either....I want to work and earn vacation time. I spoke to local agency here called Rehabilitation Svces. Commission and was told that as of 3 yrs ago this agency who assists those who reside in the Mahoning Valley, are only able to give assistance if they were unemployed as mandated by my Federal Government. So you rather me collect SSA than work? My hearing aids cost $4,850.00 which I don't have to pay upfront until a bill is sent to insurance company United Healthcare to see what they will pay to Centers for Hearing Care, York Avenue, Youngstown, OH who is the one offering me the hearing aids. I even checked with Job Accommodation and was asked why not just file for disability once and for and never worry again. I even checked with Job Accommodation and was asked why not just file for disability once and for and never worry again. Why is it I am not able to get a one time grant for the payment of my very much needed hearing aids so that I can remain a tax paying law abiding working citizen? I want to work, I do not want to sit at home and do nothing but collect a check and depend solely on the government. I know the government would love for me to continue to work and pay taxes which I would be happy to do if I can get one grant immediately for I am running out of time with my work ethics beginning to drop due to the need for hearing equipment. I love my job at the call center at AT&T and I want to continue to work but I also need hearing aids immediately. President Barack Obama, please help me as soon as possible so that I can remain a law abiding tax paying working citizen.....PLEASE HELP ME PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA.....PLEASR HELP ME GET HEARING AIDS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

    We need more "mindfulness" in our government in the health of our people. We have moved from the position of being number 1 in the world as far as health town to number 37. Why? Part of the reason is our food supply. It is filled with t...oxins and foods that cause illness and it is getting even worse as corporations continue to run our country. I thought we were a government for the people by the people? Please help stop this continued practice. This is driving up our health care costs! Thank you!

    Oh, it IS about the money.... Dems need to CUT SPENDING and GOP needs to allow taxes to raise. We can't keep spending more than is coming in. How about means test for SS? How about raising the SS tax to being based on the first $250,000 of income? Or even the first $500,000? How about raising the retirement age on those under 50, to 70? Reduce Medicare and Medicaid by 5%, not a huge reduc...tion for any one person, but a huge savings overall. How about a constitutional amendment that ties Presidential and Congressional pay to a balanced budget? How about you stop taking vacations, and actually PASS a budget like the Constitution requires? How are you even collecting a paycheck without a legally passed and signed budget for the last 3 years?See More

    Tim, I'm seeing a lot of posts on FB that are calling for Congressmen/women to be fired over the deficit - one post quoted Warren Buffet " "I could end the deficit in 5 minutes," he told CNBC. "You just pass a law that says that anytime there is a deficit of more than 3% of GDP, all sitting members of Congress are ineligible for re-election."
