  1. If Congress does not extend middle class tax cuts, a typical family of four will see a $2,200 tax hike next year. To provide certainty to our nation’s families & small businesses, we should extend middle class tax cuts while negotiations continue so we can find a balanced solution to prevent the fiscal cliff. What does this tax cut mean to you and your family?

  4. My heart breaks for the countless parents, families, friends, and everyone affected by today's tragedy in the Newtown community. As a mother of school-aged children, my thoughts and prayers are with Newtown and the families of Sandy Hook Elementary as they grieve over this incomprehensible loss, and we will continue to stand with them in the days and weeks ahead.

  11. I was delighted to be a part of Downtown Fort Lauderdale Transportation Management Association’s annual luncheon today. Public transit is an integral part of our society, and it’s essential to our economic success. We’ve got a lot of exciting work to do in South Florida, from the Wave streetcar project to improving our roads and bridges, and I look forward to continuing our work together.

  13. As we have said for years, and as Ambassador Rice reiterated, real peace will only be found once the Israelis and the Palestinians come together to find a way to live side by side. Statements and resolutions from the UN, or anyone else, will not make it so.
