    The tests are NOT free, they cost money to give. Florida tried this on a small scale and less than 2.6% failed; it cost more money to test the innocent so they could prove the innocent than the potential savings. It was based entirely upon this right wing delusion that EVERYBODY on welfare is a bum, a cheat, and a drug addict when in fact mostly they are working people who lost their jobs with families, responsibilities AND NOT USING DRUGS. Republican bigotry is no substitute for reality

    Not afraid of hearings, just realize that the truth is foreign to you, Kingston - and that you don't listen to the Majority; that you IGNORE the vote of the HOUSE, which voted to include Moran's Amendment to include the "defunding" language banning the slaughter of American horses for consumption. You are part of those abusing American rights and the Constitution. You are self-serving and NOT interested in reducing Government or taxes or the national deficit.

    This is so distorted, so far from reality! HELLO Washington? Get a grip, Kingston? How can he justify the expense load for DRUG SCREENING? Unemployment claims are initiated/managed at the state level. How many (if any) states can take on the expense and regulatory burden of federally-imposed drug screening? This is wholly unjustified. Kingston is off his nut!

    Create JOBS, buddy, or get out of the way.

    Clearly they should extend unemployment -- it's a no brainer.

    * 2011 U6 unemployment rate: 16.5% (rate used during 1930’s depression)

    * 2011 Monthly US Population Growth: 150k

    * 2011 Total Active College Class: 20.4 Million

    * 2011 Total Unemployed: 24 Million

    * 2011 Total Jobs Created: 1 Million

    How did the unemployment number go down? It's mathematically impossible for the unemployment number to drop after the small amount of new jobs in November (holiday jobs)

    i think before they receive ANY benefits they should pass the drug screening and continue to as long as they are receiving benefits.
