On Thursday July 26, 2012, Senator Barbara Mikulski (D-Md.), Chairwoman of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Children and Families Subcommittee, today convened a hearing called, "CCDBG Reauthorization: Helping to Meet the Child Care Needs of American Families." The hearing discussed ways in which the Child Care Development Block Grant (CCDBG) can help child care programs better meet the needs of American families, who rely on them to care for children while parents work.
