On April 22, Rep. Sue Myrick announced the winners of the 20121 Congressional Art Competition.

1st place, recipient of a $100 gift certificate from Binders Art Supply, 2 roundtrip tickets on Southwest Airlines to Washington DC, scholarship offer from the Savannah College of Art and Design, and the hanging of their art work in the United States Capitol Building... Carson Kowar, from Charlotte Christian School, with her entry "Story Time"

2nd place, and recipient of a $75 gift certificate from Binders Art Supply... Jessica Mandell, from Gaston Day School, with her entry, "Lens"

3rd place, and recipient of a $50 gift certificate from Binders Art Supply... Kate Condon, from Charlotte Christian School, with her entry "Hidden"
