2012 Congressional Art Contest

Congressman Dan Lungren invites high school students in California’s Third Congressional District to participate in the prestigious 2012 Congressional Art Competition, an Artistic Discovery.

Eligible art submissions must be received in Congressman Lungren’s District Office by April 20, 2012.

In addition to following general and framing guidelines, all participating student artists, parents, and art instructors will be invited to attend a Congressional Arts Forum hosted by Congressman Lungren on May 20, 1:00-2:30 pm, at the Citrus Heights Community Center, during which the 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place and People’s Choice Award Winners will be recognized. 

The 1st Place Winner will be awarded two round-trip airline tickets and two night lodging accommodations in Washington D.C., where they will attend the national ceremony with winners from throughout the United States in June. The 1st Place winning art piece will hang in the Capitol’s Cannon Tunnel for one year.
