    ""I have...deeper untreated personal issues.""

These could be caused by being influenced by prudish dictates during childhood from family/society, for example. Teaching a girl that her vagina is a bad thing, never to be explored, can make a woman frigid, unable to enjoy sex. A man can be similarly damaged by being taught that he shouldn't play with his little friend or it'll fall off.

These taboos influence adult life and manifest in sometimes horrible ways. We need to grow past sex taboos.

    what is healthy sexual expression?

That which makes you and your partner feel good. Be honest and open with your partner(s) about what you like/want/enjoy. Expand your experiences as you like with a willing partner(s).

Honesty and trust are paramount. Explore. Learn. Enjoy.

Don't let others tell you what you should or shouldn't do. If you and your partner agree and enjoy, that's a good thing.

Healthy sexual expression is that which is safe and enjoyable for all concerned.

I understand Dan's perspective, but as he points out, there are layers. There are the ways people think they OUGHT to behave, the way they THINK they behave, and the way they REALLY behave. If you knew all the sexual behaviors in the human population, you could certainly stick a stake in the middle and call that normal. That doesn't mean that anything else is bad, just in the same way that being a genius (well above mean intelligence) is not inherently bad.

Well the promiscuous one is debatable, after all Dan just got married with his partner, they´ve been toguether for decades, and they still play around with other people, the thing here is to have established rules for it, can´t just go out on your own without full disclosure, etc... not for everyone, but if done properly it can work.

As for Polyamorous relationships he has said in the past that he´s never heard of one that has worked, but if you want it you should try P:
