Brown Proposes Legislation to Protect Call Center Jobs

Speaking at the United Steelworkers Local 2155 Hall in Niles on Tuesday, Brown outlined the bill that would require companies to notify consumers that their calls are being transferred overseas.  The bill also would stop giving American tax dollars to big businesses that ship call center jobs overseas.

"It's about made in America. If a company is going to outsource call center jobs, they need to report that to the Department of Labor, which will keep a list of call center companies who have outsourced call center jobs," Brown said.
