FAA Funding Will Help to Rehabilitate Runway, Install Weather Reporting Equipment in Wauseon

WASHINGTON, D.C. – New federal resources have been awarded to an airport in Fulton County. U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that the Fulton County Board of Commissioners has been awarded federal resources through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to rehabilitate the runway and install an automatic weather observation system at the Fulton County Airport.

“The Fulton County Airport provides important travel services to area small businesses, recreational pilots, and visitors,” Brown said. “This funding will improve the safety and efficiency of the airport so it can remain a reliable option for the county.”

The airport will receive a $290,535 grant to complete the project.
