Washington -- After a Labor Department guidance memo on the WARN Act was issued, industry experts were not convinced that businesses should ignore the law regarding WARN notices. Despite a current Department fact sheet stating that "The Department of Labor, since it has no administrative or enforcement responsibility under WARN, cannot provide specific advice or guidance with respect to individual situations," yesterday's perplexing guidance was issued anyway.
