Mitt would do the opposite of what Obama is doing. A robust economy would generate more tax revenue, jobs and opportunity. There is no law that allows Obama to raise the debt ceiling. The US Constitution gives Congress the power to lay and collect taxes and act as a check & balance system on the executive branch of government.

Obama wants a blank check to push his socialist-progressive agenda of crashing the system to start all over (Cloward-Piven strategy).

I understand you because you make sense, I am just saying that video description doesn't make sense at all. I am republican and I don't like Obama. I just like to have understandable arguments. Let me ask you this fellow republican, lets say Mitt was the President and he did not raise taxes like he promised, do you think we would have the immediate money to not raise the debt ceiling? I was not aware of any law or bill that would allow the President to raise it whenever he wants though.

Sorry. You gave me the impression you were all for Obama. Part of Obama's plan for raising taxes on the wealthiest 2% does include his plan to be able to raise the debt ceiling whenever he feels like it without Congress voting on it. It would be his first grab in trashing another constitutional amendment.

The Republicans are really weak in their talking points. They need to get the debt ceiling info out to the people and need to really focus on the FACTS of their plan.
