You are 100% correct, they have the idea there is a limited amount of pie instead of thinking... Hey lets make some more pie

The problem today is that 99%(obviously an exaggeration) of people have absolutely no idea how wealth is created and they have no interest in learning how to create wealth. They would rather take from someone or some group that they believe has "too much". Why is it that so few "poor" people ask how can they create wealth for themselves? They only ask how can they take wealth. They just want to be given a fish; they couldn't care less about learning how to catch them for themselves.

Yes, the affirmative action and government threats had nothing to do with it.

Your critique leaves much to be accounted for. What caused the housing crash, was not so much lax lending criteria, although admitedly a contributing factor. What caused the crash was the greed of bankers Bundling up the mortgage securites, which had a c+ rating at best, and trading them as A+ exchanges. Which is not only a blatant lie, but also illegal. The bailout money the banks absconded, was intended to keep private lending going, instead the banks purchased G5 aircraft. Shame on them!

Your also forgetting we were the only major producing country after WWII. Everyone else was buying from us because they were attempting to rebuild their war torn countries. As a result, everyone had decent jobs, the reason everything is getting worse is because of competition from other countries. We can't compete with China or the other countries that rebuilt after the war. That's basically it in a nut shell.

You're right, but I didn't say McDonalds doesn't pay taxes. I gave reasons why it does pay taxes.
