The State Department’s Independent Report on Itself by Itself is published 12/18/12!

It is like having the fox to do a report on who ate the chickens; the truth is hidden by the fox!

What a waste of time & money, nothing is said that was not already known. No one held responsible, really 4 dead because President Obama’s administration did not care about security in a very dangerous country. It...’s amazing they only found the Ambassador at fault for security failure, wow I guess he did not yell loud enough when begging for more security, reporting that he was a target & risk of attack was extreme!

Who ordered the removal of the American security forces in August? If it was budget restraints why did the state department buy a fleet of Volts, battery operated style cars, at 40K each during the last four years?

Who gave the order to have Libyan security forces contracted to guard the Consular, US territory; why did they not have Marines guarding the Embassy’s Consular, since the Ambassador was residing in Benghazi?

The Ambassador was on a mission to meet with dignitaries, tasked by State Department as his purpose for being in Benghazi during the anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001; knowing that the risks were extremely high due to reports of a growing terrorist threat because of many terrorist camps were forming within Benghazi.

What a scandal, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton & Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta has the blood of 4 Americans stained into their hands forever; they must be forced to resign in disgrace, forever removed from holding any position in government; their political life has ended if they do not testify under oath to vindicate their guilt of allowing the murders to happen, the truth must be demanded.

Mrs. Clinton’s comment “I am fully responsible for the state department” she must be held responsible for the breach in security because the order must have come from her to reduce the American security forces; but who ordered her? Why did she make such a tragic decision of putting Libyans in charge of security?

Mr. Panetta when asked why the military was not ordered immediately into Benghazi, his comment was “it was too dangerous” what a stupid statement; protecting American lives is too dangerous? Why did he order forces ready to deploy; to stand down? Why did it take over 8 hours to order extraction of US citizens from Benghazi? When did he receive orders from President Obama to deploy military forces?

Susan Rice must be held responsible for intentionally misleading the American people; there is no excuse for her going on five news channels with the lies to deceive the media into broadcasting their cover-up story of the mishandling of Benghazi attacks by the Administration.

Susan Rice must be forced to resign as United Nation Ambassador, she has proven herself incapable to be honest to the American people and she must now be fired or resign. She is not an honest person, she should never be appointed to any Federal Government position again!

What is President Obama hiding? Why hasn’t President Obama willingly told what his actions were during the attacks? Why does he keep hiding behind an investigation in progress; it is his actions, he needs to respond to, right? Was he watching the attacks in the Situation Room? As Commander in Chief, he should have been watching, so if he did not watch; why not? Why did he send Susan Rice to tell her story, was it because of the election; did he need a cover-up story? He said he “ordered his security council to do what ever is needed to save lives“, why did he not order the Defense Secretary to take military action instead?

Why won’t President Obama answer questions to those citizens, unwilling to just accept his story; blindly? President Obama must hold a press conference on Benghazi massacre; he must answer real questions about his actions, the timeliness of his orders & the reasons he allowed 4-Americans be murdered on his watch as President & Commander in Chief? President Obama has failed to vindicate himself by his silence!

Why did it take over 8 hours for orders to be given for removal of personnel in Benghazi? Why was anti-terrorist teams told to stand down? Why rapid response Marine teams were not ordered in route within the first hour of the attacks, aircraft was standing by? Why is his Administration unwilling to vindicate themselves by being honest to the public & volunteering to appear in front of Congress to tell what they know about all the events before, during and after attacks while under oath?

It is almost 4 months now since the Benghazi massacre by terrorists occurred September 11, 2012; it is beyond the time to clear up all the unanswered questions. The only requests for resignations are of those telling the truth about the State Department’s security policies in Benghazi, is it retaliation by Administration because they told Congress under oath; the truth of the failure to protect the Consular?

President Obama has failed the American people by avoiding answering questions about his activities during the attacks, he knows the answers, a FBI investigation is not needed; only the truth to be told by him!

Why was 4 Americans allowed to be murdered over a period of seven hours of attacks, last one killed while holding a target beam on the mortar site so aircraft could destroy but no attack aircraft deployed!

Hours of requests for help went unanswered; hours passed without any military response to protect & defend US territory; a severe breach in National Security goes unanswered, how many more will die because of sensitive information taken during a spontaneous demonstration according to the Administration‘s attempt to minimize the attacks by terrorists!

Why is Harry Reid blocking Congress from getting truth from the various departments’ senior personnel and the Administration? He knows a joint committee of congress, house & senate hearings is needed to bring out the truth about Benghazi massacre, just like they had during Watergate & Contra hearings. What has the Whitehouse told him about Benghazi to cause his need for protecting President Obama; joining in on the cover-up, after the fact of any mishandling of Benghazi by his obstruction?

Where is the outrage of all the American People - four are dead because no help was given, their pleas went unanswered by President Obama‘s Administration? Whether you are Democrat, Republican, Independent or Libertarian; I know you have a love of country too! I know you want the truth too! No political party can be allowed to cover-up a tragedy such as the Benghazi massacre by their silence; forever hiding the truth?

Members of Congress had better find a way to keep unemployment benefits going. That has been my source of unemployment since March this year. Otherwise please come up with another plan for my daughter and I to survive. And other struggling Single Parents. People have not because they ask not. I'm asking. Rich people shouldn't be forced to help people. Lately it seems as they do. I wish I was wealthy and could help people.

  5. In modern usage, the term "dictator" is generally used to describe a leader who holds and/or abuses an extraordinary amount of personal power, especially the power to make laws without effective restraint by a legislative assembly. Dictatorships are often characterized by some of the following traits: suspension of elections and of civil liberties; proclamation of a state of emergency; rule by decree; repression of political opponents without abiding by rule of law procedures; these include single-party state, and cult of personality. ARE WE WITNESS TO THE BIRTH OF A NEW ONE.
  6. Yesterday I posted a reply from Congresswoman Black to my FB page, and I received a number of comments both pro and con to the position taken by our representative. I for one do agree with having security personnel available with a force equal to that with which students and teachers may be attacked readily available to respond to the attacker. I do believe this Sandy Hook tragedy is more a mental... health issue than a gun issue. I also do believe that it is time to have a "kitchen table" discussion about both high capacity magazines for auto-loader type guns as well as having mental health services as quickly and readily available as bullets. Kind regards to all.

A reply to me from Congressman Diane Black---

    Dear Ms. Newman,

Thank you for contacting me regarding gun laws in light of the tragic shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut on Friday, December 14th. As a former educator and grandmother of elementary students, my heart breaks for the families of the 20 children and 6 adults whose lives were taken all too soon and my prayers remain with the community for comfort and healing in the days ahead.

While I believe that this tragedy warrants a serious discussion on what can be done to prevent future school violence, I do not believe that greater government restrictions on gun ownership offer a viable solution. In the tragedy of Newtown, Connecticut, for example, the individual who carried out these heinous acts did not have a criminal background and the weapons used to carry out the massacre were legally registered to the gunman's mother, thus greater gun control laws would not have impeded his ability to carry out his actions.

Instead, we must focus our attention on strengthening families and empowering parents to provide safe home environments and to recognize aggressive behaviors early on. A New York Times study found that 63 of 100 rampage killers made threats of violence before the event occurred. We must engage parents and teachers in being aware of these warning signs so that we can help stop these tragedies before they occur.

Additionally, we must curb the trend of desensitization to violence, profanity and other high-risk behaviors glamorized by videogames and movies that often consume children's time, and shift to a culture that respects the sanctity and value of each innocent human life.

As a nurse for more than 40 years, I believe we must be prepared for a conversation on school violence as it relates to mental health. While we still do not know the motive of the gunman in the December 14th shooting, we know that the individual was among the millions of Americans with a mental disorder, and may have benefitted from other treatment options or more frequent opportunities to speak with counselors. Examples such as this are among the many reasons I continue to advocate for patient-centered healthcare reforms that will offer those facing mental disabilities access to the care that they need.

Thank you again for contacting me about this issue and please join me in continuing to pray for the families affected by the tragedy.

If you do not start legislation to ban assault rifles with at least a 20 year mandatory sentence for having one in your possession, then the Sandy Point killings are on YOUR HEAD. Make a difference , change the world. YOUR fellow citizens and their well being is YOUR responsibility- do your job.

no you should be back in Washington and finding away to compromising on this. What in the heck is wrong with you Republicans. When Busch was in there you didnt worry about the debt ceiling. The President won and 52 percent wants his plan so just do it.
  12. What was your position on Plan B? Would you have voted for it?
  13. Darrell Osborneposted toDiane Black
I guess you would've voted yes for plan "B" today, but thanks to some smart republicans the speaker was unable to get the votes needed to even bring it to a vote. My sincere thanks to those republicans! You, Diane Black, should be thankful, as well!

Now do the right thing and pass the plan that President Obama has worked hard on and had also compromised on with you republicans.

Plain and simpl...e, do what we hired you to do, for a change! Please do that much. Or do you like the idea that the greatest country on Earth could have our credit rating screwed up, again?

We all know you republicans don't like our president, but to try and score political points over doing what is right for our country is the wrong thing to do in matters like this! Keep in mind that the rich you republicans are trying to protect are also the ones Jesus was talking about when He said it would be easier for a camel to get through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into Heaven. Why you republicans are so eager to help the rich, other than to get financial backing and keep them from pouring money into a potential future opponent, is ludicrous!!!

If you do the right thing by us poor folks I may even vote for you next time around. I think you would find a great many other people that feel the same way.

We are paying attention to you, Rep. Black! You will be hearing a lot from me in the future when I see you are doing the wrong thing(s). Now there is no reason to continue to cry over split milk, so to speak, however we do need to keep history in mind. The plan "B" that you are considering would lower taxes on the ric...h and hurt the middle class and veterans. If you think for one iota of a second that I will turn a blind eye to this travesty you would be very wrong. Plan "B" would cost me and every low to middle class citizen an additional $1,000.00 and give the rich an additional $50,000.00 in tax breaks. The small businesses that you are taking about in your reply to me would be hurt by the republican's "B" plan, not help them! The presidents plan wouldn't hurt the small businesses unless they make over $400,000.00, and even then they would only pay higher taxes on the income they make over that amount. Be courageous and buck your party for a change. Don't be their lackey!See More

Just so my fellow Murfreesboro, Tennesseans know the truth, the plan "B" bill that the U.S. House is considering will hurt veterans and all low to middle class citizens, all while giving the rich another $50,000 in tax breaks. Tell Diane Black this is not the bill we want and if she wants to keep her position in 2014 she will not vote for plan "B". All we want is the rich to pay their fair share for a change. Why is it fair that we pay around 30% in taxes, yet the rich hardly pay 15%? Do the right thing for a change, please, Diane Black!

  24. MESSAGE SENT TO ALL MEMBERS OF THE KNESSET AND DIRECTED TO EACH OF US

    My Dearest Brothers and Sisters,

There is much strife and seeming complexity regarding peace and brotherhood among all of us in the world. There are many, who believe they have the right answer and are militant to impose their “right” answer on all. They seem to forget the earliest message of our holy scriptures, whether the K...oran, the Bible or the Thora, namely that each of us, within our hearts, have been provided with the spirit and love of the Father of us all. This was revealed to our common earthly father, Adam, who understood this in his heart before the writing of any scripture. Each of us have access to this fundamental truth, whether Muslim, Christian, Jew and also our fellow human beings, who have not had the good and fortunate access to the teachings. When we pray, we pray to our Father, present and living within in hearts of each of us. The secret to the peace and brotherhood we all yearn for is to see the presence of our Father in each of us and to love each other as our Father loves us. Within this context, the actions required to address the problems of our contemporary times will not seem insurmountable.

“We have sent by inspiration to you as We commended to Abraham, Moses and Jesus, namely that you should be steadfast in religion and make no divisions therein… Allah is our Lord and your Lord… there is no contention between us and you. Allah will bring us together, and to Him is our Homecoming.” (Sura 42.13 - 15)

My access to our Father is through the Christian teaching, neither less nor more important than the teachings of Abraham or Mohammad. It is the Christmas season, a time when Christians celebrate the love of the Father for and within us all. I give you the following teaching of the Apostle Paul and invite you, whether Muslim, Christian, Jew or a brother seeking access to our Father, to live this teaching within your life:

“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”

    From Love and Brotherhood,
    Erik Hesse

  25. Ok here's a proposal that needs to be put on the table to the liberals. If you value life, let's value all life. As an amendment to ANY "common sense" gun control laws they try to pass that we have "common sense" abortion laws enacted as well. Let's see the left vote pro life in exchange for telling me I can't buy a semi automatic rifle.
  26. TAX RATE REFORM:
1% for all incomes up to 10% of the median income in the U.S. (We don't care how the money is spent if we don't have skin in the game.)
5% for incomes within 20% of the median income.
    15% for incomes over $200,000
  27. We've talked more about taxes than spending, although we can agree the later is more the issue. Will you pledge tonight to vote against all non-essential CRs? (I've had to with my household budget.)
  28. The NRA is the number one source of firearms safety training in the world, for children, adults, and law enforcement personnel.
I grew up, as did many others, in a hunting, fishing, sporting way of life. I was taught safety and responsibi...lity at an early age.
I feel greatly for this man, but the best thing he could do is join the efforts of the NRA in education of children and adults. Therein lies the solution which he seeks, not in restricting the rights of legal gun owners.
Please do not allow the flurry of anti gun sentiment to be used for illegitimate and irresponsible gun legislation. Connecticut has more gun control already than most states. We cannot lessen crime by taking gun rights from law abiding citizens. It is quite simple and common sense to understand this.

    Thank you.

  30. Excellent Read... No matter what side of whatever fence you sit on...
    COLUMBINE STUDENT'S FATHER 12 YEARS LATER !!
Guess our national leaders didn't expect this. On Thursday, Darrell Scott, the father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High School shootings in Littleton, Colorado, was invited to address the House Judiciary Committee's subcommittee. What he said to our national leaders duri...ng this special session of Congress was painfully truthful.

They were not prepared for what he was to say, nor was it received well. It needs to be heard by every parent, every teacher, every politician, every sociologist, every psychologist, and every so-called expert! These courageous words spoken by Darrell Scott are powerful, penetrating, and deeply personal. There is no doubt that God sent this man as a voice crying in the wilderness.. The following is a portion of the transcript:

"Since the dawn of creation there has been both good & evil in the hearts of men and women. We all contain the seeds of kindness or the seeds of violence. The death of my wonderful daughter, Rachel Joy Scott, and the deaths of that heroic teacher, and the other eleven children who died must not be in vain. Their blood cries out for answers.

"The first recorded act of violence was when Cain slew his brother Abel out in the field. The villain was not the club he used.. Neither was it the NCA, the National Club Association. The true killer was Cain, and the reason for the murder could only be found in Cain's heart.

"In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA. I am not a member of the NRA. I am not a hunter. I do not even own a gun. I am not here to represent or defend the NRA - because I don't believe that they are responsible for my daughter's death. Therefore I do not believe that they need to be defended. If I believed they had anything to do with Rachel's murder I would be their strongest opponent

I am here today to declare that Columbine was not just a tragedy -- it was a spiritual event that should be forcing us to look at where the real blame lies! Much of the blame lies here in this room. Much of the blame lies behind the pointing fingers of the accusers themselves. I wrote a poem just four nights ago that expresses my feelings best.

Your laws ignore our deepest needs,
    Your words are empty air.
    You've stripped away our heritage,
    You've outlawed simple prayer.
    Now gunshots fill our classrooms,
    And precious children die.
    You seek for answers everywhere,
    And ask the question "Why?"
    You regulate restrictive laws,
    Through legislative creed.
And yet you fail to understand,
That God is what we need!

"Men and women are three-part beings. We all consist of body, mind, and spirit. When we refuse to acknowledge a third part of our make-up, we create a void that allows evil, prejudice, and hatred to rush in and wreak havoc. Spiritual presences were present within our educational systems for most of our nation's history. Many of our major colleges began as theological seminaries. This is a historical fact. What has happened to us as a nation? We have refused to honor God, and in so doing, we open the doors to hatred and violence. And when something as terrible as Columbine's tragedy occurs -- politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the NRA. They immediately seek to pass more restrictive laws that contribute to erode away our personal and private liberties. We do not need more restrictive laws. Eric and Dylan would not have been stopped by metal detectors. No amount of gun laws can stop someone who spends months planning this type of massacre. The real villain lies within our own hearts.

"As my son Craig lay under that table in the school library and saw his two friends murdered before his very eyes, he did not hesitate to pray in school. I defy any law or politician to deny him that right! I challenge every young person in America , and around the world, to realize that on April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School prayer was brought back to our schools. Do not let the many prayers offered by those students be in vain. Dare to move into the new millennium with a sacred disregard for legislation that violates your God-given right to communicate with Him. To those of you who would point your finger at the NRA -- I give to you a sincere challenge.. Dare to examine your own heart before casting the first stone! My daughter's death will not be in vain! The young people of this country will not allow that to happen!"
    - Darrell Scott

Congresswoman Black - since there is a Bill approaching a Vote to allow teachers to carry weapons at school and etc: Please Vote No.
Honestly TENNESSEE We Do Not Need for Teachers to be allowed to have weapons in the classroom - Vote NO to this Bill. Do not you believe they have enough concern and stress without worrying about the location of that gun, or when to use it. Alternative idea: Hire... Police Security for each school - that is all it would take.
There are issues, after issues going around about Who should carry guns - Teachers should be allowed to carry - The police should be allowed to carry and teach, and etc - Give Me A Break! These two issues should be completely separate. That is all We need is the Educational System 'Packed 'N Loaded'! There are mentally disturbed people in 'all' sectors of life: Including the teaching profession, law enforcement, medical, blue collar, white
collar and etc (remember the nation is known for it's medication intake - pills that alter your thinking - we have become a mentally depressed nation). We as a Society need programs where these individuals can seek help if needed. I do not even want to think about a stress-out, or out-of-control teacher who is 'packed 'n loaded' pulling out a firearm on a student; can you even imagine? The ordeals happening at this time is of the greatest devastation; but, the answer is Not for everyone to 'Weapon Up' in school districts, gov't buildings and etc. If our Leaders do their job correctly, and quit cutting programs needed for Mental Health, it might solve some problems. And, if our Gun Laws change to make it more difficult for individuals to have access to assault rifles, that might even help (who needs assault weapons besides police and military - lets get real). We as the Adult Community have to take some of the responsibility to what is happening around us: Violent Movies, Violent Video, Violent Cartoons, and the list goes on...At what age does your child watch this: And, have you, as an adult quit watching and playing?. Just think about it - We have become a Nation consumed with the 'thrill and excitement for more violence leading to harm than ever before...And, the Movie Makers Love Us - They are Millionaires! This is just My Opinion.

  35. i recently posted a letter to diane black urging her to work WITH her democratic colleauges for the betterment of us all. Why must she be such a hard headed person. The MAJORITY of Americans want the rich to pay more. GET WITH IT DIANE!! Do whats right for a change. instead of some right wing ideas that are neither helpful nor fruitful. Get off your high-horse and do something that helps the majority instead of the same ole, same ole like the past two years. The American people spoke loud and clear in November. We don't want whats been happening, we want something different. Please!!! The same goes for the debt ceiling. DON"T PLAY SILLY TEA PARTY GAMES ANY MORE!! Come on.....

This was an absolutely horrific tragedy. I'm so tired of the media putting their political spin on it before these children are even buried. I do believe we need to have a meaningful conversation at some point. However, if we do not use this opportunity to include mental health care in that conversation, we have completed dropped the ball and missed the whole point. I challenge you, Congressman Black, to make sure that everyday, we make it a point to make sure this gets addressed. As a nurse, I know you see a problem with the mental healthcare system and it needs to be fixed NOW.
  37. I say let the Bush tax cuts expire, I know that I will pay more taxes, but if they put all of it to the debt then I say do it. I do not want to see my grands have to pay for putting it off. So Congress and President get off your soap boxes and get to work.
  38. These are sick and twisted people that commit such heinous crimes, but these people are not so sick and twisted to forget that they don't want to be shot back at so they pick the most innocent place to take revenge on society or satisfy their sick or twisted need. They pick the gun free zones like schools, malls, churches,Amish communities and restaurants which is any place they feel they will be saf...e.The FBI pro-filer talked about recently ,over in China,a man carrying a knife went through a school stabbing 22 children. So it is not the weapon as much as it is the insane person feeling safe while they carry out their evil deeds. If we had an Officer on duty as well as metal detectors maybe this squirrel would not have harmed a soul. Just maybe we could pay for these officers and metal detectors, country wide by saving some of the money we are sending over seas to fund other sick and twisted people ,such as Lybia and Egypt. Charity starts at home. This country has tunnel vision when it comes to matters such as this.First thing ,Politicians want to do is jump on the gun control issues, which will not help anything.Large capacity clips will not help, doing away with all guns prevents the average citizen from protecting themselves against people like this.I don't think a one of these children should have lost their lives today if that school had some defensive tools on duty. All I can think about is my grandchildren and their safety. My heart goes out to the victims of this awful shooting and their families.See More

Representative Black, you are doing a good job of avoiding my questions about your positions on LGBT issues, but I am curious if you approve of the US House spending a total of $1.5 million on its legal fees for fighting the Defense of Marriage Act in court?

I have zero confidence in your leadership thus far. I'm a military constituent raised in Murfreesboro. I wish you would be more vocal and active in the solutions to our economic challenges. I see nothing from you on CSPAN which makes me think your doing Nothing. Why did I vote for you again? Please do something..

Sen. Bob Corker reversed his position because he heard loud and clear from his Tennessee constituents. Today his colleague Diane Black heard from her constituents that she should do the same and stop putting politics ahead of their people and sign the discharge petition that would allow a vote on the Middle Class Tax Cut Act.
  42. Too many politicians are discussing the future of my Social Security and Medicare benefits as part of rushed and last minute budget deals. We deserve an open and thoughtful discussion about the health and retirement security of older Americans. I urge you to openly discuss your views about the future of Social Security and Medicare and ask the people you represent what your ideas would mean to the...m and their families. Social Security is the largest (and in most cases the only) source of income for older Americans, while Medicare has kept healthcare both available an daffordable. Rememer, these benefits are not handouts!!! Worked for them! Your goal should be to protect and strengthen these programs to ensure they are viable for generations to come. See More

I understand that a congressperson is paid $169,300 per year, which works out to around $81/hour, IF you work 52 weeks a year, 40 hours a week. That's just about $651 per day. I would like to know what you did today to earn that $651. Thank you.
  45. Black's Statement on Governor Haslam's Decision Not to Implement a "State Based Exchange"

    Congresswoman Black,
I recently wrote you through email, and today I got my response. True, it was a form letter as I expected, and I have no issue with that. I'm sure your staff is very busy. However, it was obvious that no one on your staff even bothered to read my email since it begins by talking about how you and I are in complete agreement, and goes on from there. Since you and I are rather... in complete DISAGREEMENT about the topic, I have one suggestion you might find helpful. If your staff is not going to bother reading the email before responding, it would be best to simply not respond at all. Instead, your reply message was just plain insulting. You don't have to agree with me, but please either have your staff read your messages or else don't bother replying at all.
