Internships

Congressman McCaul is pleased to offer internships in the Washington, DC office and Austin, Texas district office.  Congressional internships offer an exciting educational experience.  The internship allows students an opportunity to gain direct knowledge of how a congressional office functions, and see the inner workings that are required to best serve the constituents of the Tenth District.  Interns must be highly motivated, eager to learn and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.  Student interns can receive collegiate credit.  The amount of credit awarded is based on the program requirements of the individual college or university.  Please note that internships are unpaid and interns are responsible for their one housing and transportation to and from work.

Washington, DC Internships
Congressman McCaul’s Washington, DC internship program is designed to give students a "hands-on" experience in a Congressional office. The program enables the participant to experience first-hand the operations of a Congressional office and gain a unique perspective on the legislative process. During the internship, the student will perform a host of duties associated with the day-to-day operations of the office. Interns are also encouraged to further their learning experience by attending briefings, committee hearings, press conferences and other relevant events on Capitol Hill.

District Office Internships - Austin, Texas
