Empower Small Business Owners By Reducing Unnecessary Regulations
Small business owners are being bogged down by burdensome regulations from Washington that prevent job creation and hinder economic growth. We must remove onerous regulations that are redundant, harm small businesses, and impede private sector investment and job creation.

To help stop the threat of excessive regulations, the House has passed:
•    The Reducing Regulatory Burdens Act, which would halt duplicative federal regulations on farmers and small business owners that are impeding job creation.
•    The Protecting Jobs From Government Interference Act, which would prevent the unelected National Labor Relations Board from dictating where employers and private businesses can set up their operations. 2,000 jobs would not be created by Boeing in South Carolina due to the National Labor Relations Board’s politically motivated lawsuit prohibiting the installation of a manufacturing plant in a right-to-work state.
•    The Transparency in Regulatory Analysis of Impacts on the Nation Act, which would require an analysis of the cumulative economic impacts of certain EPA environmental regulations.
•    The Cement Sector Regulatory Relief Act, The EPA Regulatory Relief Act, and The Coals Residuals Reuse and Management Act, which would help curb costly, excessive, and burdensome regulations imposed by the EPA and save thousands of jobs.

Maximize Domestic Energy Production
The energy sector is crucial to our economic growth, and high energy costs have a major impact on job creation. We need policies that allow us to harness our abundant supply of natural resources in America, develop new sources of energy, and create jobs here at home. These bills could create 250,000 jobs short term and 1.2 million jobs long term.

To help stop the threat of soaring energy costs, the House has passed:
•    The Restarting American Offshore Leasing Now Act, which would help to address high gas prices and support the creation of new American jobs by increasing offshore energy production. Could create nearly 2,000 jobs in Virginia and produce more than a half billion barrels of oil and 2.5 trillion cubic feet of natural gas.
•    The Putting the Gulf of Mexico Back to Work Act and The Reversing President Obama’s Offshore Moratorium Act, which would help to put thousands of Americans back to work by ending the de facto moratorium on American energy production in the Gulf of Mexico in a safe, responsible and transparent manner by setting firm timelines for considering permits to drill.
•    The Jobs and Energy Permitting Act of 2011, which would streamline the permit process for American energy production to help lower prices and create tens of thousands of new jobs. Requires final agency action be taken on platform or drill ship exploration OCS Source permits no later than 6 months after a completed application is filed, with no administrative stay of the permit after such time period.

Pay Down America's Unsustainable Debt Burden And Keep Taxes Low
Washington has a spending problem, and the federal government’s spending binge has put our nation in debt, eroded economic confidence, and caused massive uncertainty for private sector job creators. It's time to live within our means.

To help stop the threat of a job-crushing debt burden and tax increases, the House has passed:
•    A Budget For Fiscal Year 2012, which would cut $6 trillion in government spending, help put our budget on a path to balance, and prevent and eliminate trillions in tax hikes.
•    The Energy Tax Prevention Act, which would stop the federal government from imposing a job-destroying national energy tax. Stops the backdoor cap-and-trade policy.
