NEUGEBAUER PLEASED WITH RESULTS OF LUBBOCK AND TEXAS TECH'S COMMUNITY REQUESTED FUNDING FOR 2008
12/20/07LUBBOCK, TX – As Congress completed its business of funding the federal government, Congressman Randy Neugebauer (TX-19) was pleased with the community requested funding approved for the City of Lubbock and Texas Tech University for 2008.
“Local communities know their needs better than bureaucrats in Washington, DC. When Lubbock and Texas Tech brought me these requests, I was pleased to submit them for consideration in Congress’ annual federal funding bills,” Neugebauer stated. “This money will be put to good use for research at Texas Tech University that supports local agriculture and wind power development, as well as to improve the quality of life in Lubbock.
“As the Representative for the 19th District, I am pleased that Lubbock and Texas Tech received this funding and I look forward to the progressive use of this community funding for critical projects and innovative research at Texas Tech,” Neugebauer concluded.
