Neugebauer Encourages Eastland County Residents in Need of Assistance to Visit FEMA Disaster Center

Washington, DC – Congressman Randy Neugebauer is encouraging Eastland County residents in need of disaster assistance to meet face-to-face with representatives from state and federal agencies at one of three centers be set up in Central and North Texas.

“I urge those residents of Eastland County who have suffered the effects of this summer’s flooding to stop by the Disaster Recovery Center and determine what assistance is available to help them begin the rebuilding process,” Neugebauer said.

FEMA announced Thursday that three Disaster Recovery Centers (DRC) will open on Friday, July 13th, to assist area residents who were impacted by recent flooding.  The Eastland DRC will be located at 100 Little Maverick Trail.  A second DRC will be set up at 1000 Lamar in Wichita Falls and a third in Marble Falls.

Before visiting a DRC, individuals should register for assistance by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362), or TTY 1-800-462-7585 for those who are hearing or speech-impaired. The FEMA application line is open 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time seven days a week, until further notice. You can also register online at www.fema.gov
