NEUGEBAUER CONGRATULATES CLAIRE VALDEZ FOR HER ARTWORK REPRESENTING TEXAS' 19TH DISTRICT IN U.S. CAPITOL

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Randy Neugebauer (TX-19) was pleased to announce that Claire Valdez’s artwork was a selected in the Congressional Art Competition. Clair’s artwork proudly represents Texas’ 19th District in the United States Capitol. The Congressional Art Competition is very competitive and chooses only one piece to represent a congressional district.

“Clair’s artwork was very moving and showed an amazing level of dedication and accomplishment. I was very proud to host a ceremony for Clair and her father to celebrate this momentous achievement,” Neugebauer said.

Congressman Neugebauer invited Clair and her family members to come to Washington, DC to attend a reception in her honor, as well as allow Clair to see the other pieces of art that currently hang in the U.S. Capitol along with her winning piece.

“One of the greatest aspects of my job is to meet the great people of the 10th District and to help them in any capacity that I can. I was thrilled to meet Clair and discuss her artwork as well as other classes and hobbies she is interest in. I am thrilled to walk though the Capitol and see Clair’s artwork representing the 19th District. She is a great example of the fine children that are raised with tradition West Texas values. I wish Clair all the best in her future endeavors and want her to know to keep up the good work; you make Texas’ 19th District proud,” Neugebauer concluded.
