NEUGEBAUER ANNOUNCES NEW CHIEF OF STAFF

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Randy Neugebauer (TX-19) is pleased to announce he has hired Jeanette Whitener to serve as his new Chief of Staff.

“It is critical to have a strong leader with experience, institutional knowledge and professionalism serving in the role of Chief of Staff. Jeanette fits the bill in all of these categories and more. Jeanette possesses these qualities which are essential to help me manage my three offices in Texas, as well as my Washington, DC office. After meeting with her several times it became quite clear that she was the best candidate for the position. I am confident that Jeanette will be a valuable asset to my office as well as the people of the 19th District,” Neugebauer said.

Jeanette Whitener graduated from Georgetown University with a Masters Degree in Public Policy and comes to Neugebauer’s office with over 12 years of experience on Capitol Hill. She has held various positions serving as a Legislative Assistant, Policy Advisor, and Legislative Director. During the last six years, Jeanette was the Chief of Staff for Congressman Jerry Weller (R-IL).

Jeanette replaces Gayland Barksdale, a longtime aide who is leaving Capitol Hill to explore several opportunities in the private sector. “Gayland has been a trusted confidant, a strong leader and voice for the people of the 19th District. His dedication and counsel will be greatly missed. I wish Gayland and his family all the best in their future endeavors,” Neugebauer concluded.
