WASHINGTON, DC – Rep. Pete Olson (TX-22) today released the following statement of condolence on the passing of Richmond Mayor Hilmar Moore:

"My deepest condolences go to the family and loved ones of a truly great man, Hilmar Moore, with his passing today. Hilmar Moore honorably served the people of Richmond, Texas since 1949 and was the longest-serving mayor in American history. He is one of the most iconic officials in Fort Bend County’s history, and his legacy lives on through his contributions and the difference he made in our region. It was a privilege to work with Hilmar and I will miss him greatly. May he rest in peace.”
