ENGEL ANNOUNCES TRAFFIC LIGHT TO BE INSTALLED AT BOSTON ROAD AND EDISON AVENUE

Washington, D.C.--Congressman Eliot Engel announced that a new traffic light will be installed at the intersection of Boston Road and Edison Avenue in the Edenwald section of the Bronx.

Rep. Engel said, “I asked the city Department of Transportation to investigate putting in a traffic light at this location at the request of residents of the area. This intersection is a short block west of Baychester Avenue and in a high traffic area. It is also close to Edenwald School and Seton Falls Park

“The light will help to keep pedestrians and school children safer and improve traffic flow. I want to thank the Department of Transportation for its work in conducting the feasibility study and agreeing that a light is necessary. The Department says that the light will be installed before the end of February, 2010.”
