STEARNS WILL BE IN ORANGE PARK ON MONDAY, AUGUST 11TH TO TOUR ORANGE PARK MEDICAL CENTER

WILL DISCUSS MEDICARE AND OTHER HEALTH ISSUES

 
 

Washington, Aug 8, 2008 - Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-Sixth) will be in Orange Park on Monday, August 11, 2008, to tour the Orange Park Medical Center. In addition to meeting with the new CEO of the Medical Center, Thomas Pentz, Stearns will tour the new facility expansion and discuss Medicare and other health issues. Stearns will start the visit at 11:00 AM at the Orange Park Medical Center, 2001 Kingsley Avenue.

“It is imperative that we take steps to make health care more accessible and more affordable,” said Stearns. “Our nation has the best health care in the world, and I want to talk with health care providers and administrators on how we can best ensure this high quality care.” Recently, Stearns joined in approving the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act to prevent a scheduled reduction in Medicare reimbursements.
