STEARNS TOURING OCALA RECYCLING LLC ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 23, 2009

OCALA RECYCLING IS THE FIRST FACILITY IN THE WORLD CERTIFIED UNDER THE RECYCLING INDUSTRY OPERATING STANDARD
 

Washington, Nov 19, 2009 - WASHINGTON, NOV. 19, 2009 -- “I commend Ocala Recycling LLC on becoming the first Recycling Industry Operating Standard (RIOS) certified facility in the world – this is a distinguished honor for Ocala Recycling and for Marion County,” said Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-Ocala). “This standard developed by the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries is designed to combine quality, environmental, and health and safety controls into a single management system. Being the first facility certified underscores the commitment of Ocala Recycling in leading the way in operating as a safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible recycler.” 

Stearns will tour the Ocala Recycling Shredding Facility on Monday, November 23rd at 11:00 AM. The facility is located at 1854 NW 31st Street in Ocala. Stearns will discuss the economy, small business issues, and recycling and RIOS certification with the management and staff of Ocala Recycling.
