STEARNS TO SPEAK AT DEDICATION OF PATIENT BED TOWER AT GAINESVILLE VA MEDICAL CENTER ON SATURDAY

ALSO ATTENDING FINE ARTS PERFORMANCE AT SANTA FE COLLEGE

WASHINGTON, SET. 23, 2011 – Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-Sixth), a leading supporting of expanding the facilities at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville, will participate in the dedication of the new Patient Bed Tower.  “Having worked together for years in getting this Bed Tower constructed, we all look forward to joining in its dedication,” said Stearns.  The Bed Tower is designed to increase the privacy of patients and includes other improvements for veterans being treated at the Center. The dedication will start at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 24, 2011, 1601 Southwest Archer Road in Gainesville.   

On Saturday evening, Stearns will attend the premier of “Light Up the Night” at Santa Fe College in the Fine Arts Hall.  Santa Fe College will recognize Stearns for his strong support of the Fine Arts Hall.  The celebration starts with a 6:30 PM reception followed by the performance at 7:15 PM.  The Fine Arts Hall is located at 3000 NW 83rd Street in Gainesville.
