SISTERS REPRESENT “PROMISE TO REMEMBER ME CAMPAIGN”

Washington, Jul 8, 2010 - On Friday, July 9, 2010, Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-Sixth) will meet with Sarah Hoffmann of Middleburg and her two daughters, 9 year old Kaylin, and 7 year old Trinity, who represent the Juveniles Diabetes Research Foundation’s (JDRF) “Promise to Remember Me Campaign.”  Both Kaylin and Trinity have Type 1 diabetes.

“JDRF started the Promise to Remember Me Campaign in order to strengthen the relationship between families living with Type 1 diabetes and legislators and to help inform us about the importance of diabetes research.  As a Member of both the Congressional Diabetes Caucus and the Biomedical Research Caucus, it is my pleasure to meet with these brave young girls and to assist them in their fight against Type 1 diabetes,” stated Stearns.

The meeting will take place in the board room at Kindred Hospital, following Stearns’ tour of the facility.  Melody Hoffman, JDRF’s Area Promise Campaign Coordinator and Kaylin and Trinity’s grandmother will also be present.  Kindred Hospital North Florida is located at 801 Oak Street in Green Cove Springs.
