STEARNS TO DISCUSS ECONOMY & HEALTH CARE IN MARION COUNTY AT FRIDAY EVENTS

ADDRESSING NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF INSURANCE & FINANCIAL ADVISORS THEN VISITING CLM WORKFORCE CONNECTION PROMOTING EMPLOYMENT SOLUTIONS

Washington, Aug 13, 2009 - “The growing unemployment situation in our community demands a vigorous response, and I am working to develop solutions to the problems we face,” said Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-Ocala). Stearns this week has toured the district discussing the economy and job creation, and will continue to focus on those issues at events on Friday, August 14, 2009 in Ocala.

“Today, I attended a meeting of state, local, and community leaders on developing a plan of action to reinvigorate the economy and to promote job growth,” added Stearns,” and tomorrow I will continue to focus on the economic needs of our community.”

On Friday, Stearns will discuss the economy and health care reform at a meeting of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors from 8:00 to 9:00AM at the Ocala Elks Club, 702 NE 25th Ave., Ocala. At 9:30AM, Stearns will visit the CLM Workforce Connection Office, 2703 NE 14th Street in Ocala. Stearns has worked with Workforce Connection to identify funding sources to help that group develop employment solutions.
