STEARNS SPEAKING ON FCC REFORM AT THE FREE STATE FOUNDATION EVENT ON TUESDAY, APRIL 12, 2011

WILL DISCUSS REGULATORY REFORM AT THE FCC TO PROMOTE ECONOMIC GROWTH

Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-FL), Chairman of the Energy and Commerce Committee’s Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee, and a senior member on the Communications and Technology Subcommittee, will speak at The Free State Foundation event “Regulatory Reform at the FCC: Why Not Now?” on Tuesday, April 12, 2011.  In the previous Congress, Stearns served as the Republican leader of the Communications, Technology and the Internet Subcommittee and he is a leader in promoting reform at the FCC.  “I look forward on outlining my thoughts on reforming the FCC to make it more efficient, less burdensome, and a force in promoting economic growth,” said Stearns.  The event is scheduled for 11:45 – 2:00 PM at the Capital Visitors Center, Congressional Meeting Room North.
