STEARNS SPEAKING AT NATIONAL PRESS CLUB AT ENERGY FORUM SPONSORED BY NEWSWEEK

STEARNS WILL USE NATIONAL EXECUTIVE FORUM TO DISCUSS AMERICA’S ENERGY FUTURE & THE BP OIL SPILL

Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-FL), a senior member of the House Energy & Commerce Committee, will participate in Newsweek’s National Executive Forum at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.  The Executive Forum will focus on global energy issues and America’s energy future.  The Executive Forum will take place on Monday, June 14th at the National Press Club’s Holeman Lounge from 4:30 to 6:00 PM.  Attendees will comprise senior legislative and executive branch officials, members of the diplomatic corps, policy and academic experts, and industry leaders from the energy sector.

As a strong advocate for American energy independence, Stearns supports increasing domestic energy production through expanded use of nuclear, hydro, and wind power.  Stearns, a member of the House Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Caucus, promotes a vast array of clean fuel technologies and alternative energy sources.
