EVENT ON TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 2011, 4:30 PM, AT CECIL FIELD
 

Washington, Jan 28 - Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-Sixth), who represents Cecil Field, will speak at the dedication of Florida State College at Jacksonville’s Aircraft Service Educational Facility (ASEF) at Cecil Field.  Said Stearns, “The ASEF was funded through a $20 million public-private partnership with the College providing $10 million obtained from the State of Florida and the Jacksonville Aviation Authority providing $10 million.  Students at the ASEF will receive training in aircraft painting and corrosion, and aircraft structure.  Certificates they earn will qualify them for high-tech jobs in the aviation sector.  This is another major step in expanding the commercial use of Cecil Field.”  The dedication will take place on February 1, 2011, at 4:30 PM at 13325 Skymaster Court at Cecil Field.
