STEARNS SCORES 100 PERCENT RATING WITH THE NATIONAL FEDERATION OF INDEPENDENT BUSINESS (NFIB)

PERFECT NFIB RATING FOR 11 KEY VOTES CAST IN 2011

WASHINGTON, APRIL 23, 2012 – Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-Sixth) has received a perfect rating of 100 percent from the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) for congressional votes cast in 2011.  The NFIB rated 11 key votes impacting small business in America.  These votes included repeal of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), the elimination of burdensome paperwork for small businesses, increasing domestic energy production, and support for a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.

“As our nation’s small businesses continue to struggle, it is imperative for Congress to promote economic growth and job creation so that these businesses can grow,” said Stearns.  “Since I owned a small business, I know firsthand the unique problems faced by American businesses and how Congress can support them.  I’m honored to receive this perfect rating from NFIB.”

The NFIB is the leading small business association representing small and independent businesses. A nonprofit, nonpartisan organization founded in 1943, NFIB represents the views of its members throughout the nation.
