HIGHLY RATED FOR HIS VOTES ON SMALL BUSINESS ISSUES

Washington, Sep 24, 2008 - Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-Sixth) today was presented with the “Guardian of Small Business” Award by the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB). “On behalf of the members of the NFIB, I want to congratulate you on your strong small business voting record in the 110th Congress,” said Dan Danner, the Executive President of the NFIB. The NFIB, a non-profit, non-partisan organization, is the leading small business association representing small and independent businesses.

“In this time of economic uncertainty, Congress needs to recommit itself to the economic policies that promote prosperity and economic activity,” said Stearns. “I am proud to receive this award from the NFIB, and I look forward to continuing to work with small and independent businesses in building a stronger economic future for all Americans.”
