STEARNS RECEIVES THE FAMILY RESEARCH COUNCIL'S "TRUE BLUE" AWARD

The Family Research Council (FRC) has honored Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-Ocala) with its True Blue" Award for scoring a rating of 100 percent on pro-family issues in the Second Session of 108TH Congress. The votes represented a cross section of issues affecting the family.  "Your votes reflect a deep concern for the American family, the institution of marriage, and the dignity of human life," said Tony Perkins, President of the FRC.  Perkins expressed gratitude to Stearns "for you hard work in defense of faith, family and freedom."

"The family is the central building block of our society," Said Stearns, "but the family and the institutions that support it are under assault.  I am proud of my record in voting to preserve the family, to protect faith, and to defend the unborn.  I appreciate the support of the Family Research Council and I look forward to working with this group in the future."
