PRESENTATION AT STEARNS’ OCALA OFFICE AT 10:00 AM AND AT 10:30 AM ON MAY 11th

Washington, May 8, 2009 - “It is vital that we recognize and honor the military service of those who defended our freedom,” stated Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-Ocala). “One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is helping veterans receive the awards they earned. Sadly, many veterans fail to receive the full recognition they deserve, and I am pleased that I was able to help correct this situation for two more veterans.”

On Monday, May 11th, at 10:00 AM, Stearns will present Bernard Seefeldt of Dunnellon with the awards he earned in World War II. Seefeldt will receive the Purple Heart and the European-African Middle East Campaign Medal. Then at 10:30, Stearns will present Dorothy Jordan of Dunnellon the decorations earned by her deceased husband, Herbert Jordan. Jordan earned the WWII Victory Medal, the Honorable Service Lapel Button WWII, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. Stearns’ Ocala office is located at 115 SE 25th Avenue.
