STEARNS PARTICIPATING IN GROUNDBREAKING EVENT FOR NEW PATIENT TOWER AT THE GAINESVILLE VA HOSPITAL

“Florida has the nation’s second largest population of veterans, and the number grows each day,” said Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-Ocala), the Vice Republican Leader of the House Veterans Affairs Committee. “We must ensure that the facilities and programs at the VA grow as well, and I am proud to see that my support for this new construction at the VA Medical Center in Gainesville will soon come to fruition.”

A new patient bed tower is being constructed at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center. The groundbreaking event for this new construction is on July 19th at 10:00 AM, 1601 S.W. Archer Road in Gainesville. Added Stearns, “This VA medical Center was dedicated in 1967, and this new bed tower is needed to address the serious issue of patient privacy. The new bed tower will include 228 single patient rooms and house other programs in support of veterans.”
