FAMILY-ORIENTED EVENT COMBINES ENTERTAINMENT AND FIREWORKS IN HONOR OF INDEPENDENCE DAY

Washington, Jul 2, 2007 - "Each year, Fanfares & Fireworks brings the community together for a night of fun, entertainment, and fireworks to honor Independence Day," stated Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-Ocala).  "I commend the University of Florida, the City of Gainesville, and AvMed Health Plan for sponsoring this family event."  Fanfares & Fireworks will be held the evening of Wednesday, July 3rd at the University of Florida Flavet Field. 
Stearns will make brief remarks welcoming the people at the event and in recognition of the Fourth of July.  This event has drawn as many as 17,000 people to enjoy the entertainment, which culminates in a 20-minute fireworks show.
