STEARNS KEYNOTE SPEAKER AT DEDICATION OF NEW REGIONAL VA HEALTHCARE FACILITY IN THE VILLAGES ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 23RD

STEARNS HAS WORKED SINCE 2003 TO ESTABLISH A FACILITY SERVING THE AREA

“Today, Florida his home to nearly 2 million veterans, and we have 90,000 here in Marion, Lake and Sumter Counties,” stated Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-Sixth), the Vice Republican Leader on the House Veterans Affairs Committee.  “This growing population needs new facilities to meet their healthcare needs and I am proud of the cooperation that went into creating this state-of-the-art facility.”  In recognition of his leadership in working with The Villages in donating the land and getting the support of the VA and Congress, Stearns will provide the keynote address at the dedication of this new Regional VA Healthcare Facility being held on Saturday, October 23rd at 10:00 AM.  The location is 8900 Southeast 165th Mulberry Lane, The Villages, FL.

Construction of the facility started in June of 2008 and it is now providing care for veterans from throughout the area.  The 90,000-square-foot facility offers primary care, specialty care, and mental health services.
