PRESENTS AMERICAN FLAG AND CERTIFICATE SIGNED BY FLORIDA CONGRESSIONAL DELEGATION

Washington, Jun 18, 2007 - "It is an honor to once again join in congratulating the University of Florida Men's Basketball Team for winning another national title," said Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-Ocala).  "I am very proud to represent the University of Florida, an outstanding institution of higher learning and possessing a world-class athletic program.  I commend Coach Donovan, the players, and staff on their wonderful season and for being just the seventh team ever to repeat championships."
During the White House ceremony, Stearns presented Donovan and the team with an American Flag that flew over the U.S. Capitol and a certificate signed by the members of Florida's congressional delegation. The White House today hosted a number of collegiate national champions at a ceremony where President Bush recognized their achievements.
