WASHINGTON, APRIL 10, 2012 – Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-Sixth) who represents the University of Florida will be touring the Innovation Hub and the College of Engineering at the school on Thursday, April 12, 2012.   Stearns and the University of Florida have built a strong relationship over the years and Stearns is an advocate for the developments at the University.

“As a senior member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, I appreciate seeing the University’s technology and innovations that promote new products and services,” said Stearns.  “North central Florida is an attractive place for new and expanding high tech ventures, and I want to highlight the University’s role as a centerpiece for these innovations.”  Stearns will be in Gainesville to tour the Innovation Hub at UF, 747 Southwest 2^nd Avenue, at 9:30 AM; and then the College of Engineering, 300 Weil Hall, at 10:45 AM.
