MEETING WITH HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS, PATIENTS AND DOCTORS TO DISCUSS IMPACT OF PROPOSED HEALTHCARE LEGISLATION

Washington, Aug 6, 2009 - “As Congress considers a major overhaul of the healthcare system, I want to hear the views of healthcare providers, patients and doctors in my District” said Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-Ocala). “I have held over 500 town meetings throughout the District to listen to the people I represent, and this healthcare tour will help me learn more about the concerns of those on the frontlines of healthcare.”

11:00AM -- 11:45AM – Visit Palm Garden of Ocala Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 2700 SW 34th Street, Ocala.

12:00PM -- 1:00PM – Lunch with seniors and tour of Marion County Senior Service Center Main Office, 1101 SW 20th Court, Ocala.

2:00PM -- 3:00PM – On-site progress briefing on the construction of the new VA Clinic at The Villages. 8900 SE 165th Mulberry Lane, The Villages
