FOURTEEN OF STEARNS' NOMINEES RECEIVE APPOINTMENTS TO NATION'S SERVICE ACADEMIES

Washington, May 15, 2009 - “One of the highest responsibilities I have as a Member of Congress is nominating students to the nation’s Service Academies,” said Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-Sixth). “Many very talented students seek these nominations, and my staff and I carefully consider every qualification before I make a nomination. I am very proud of these appointees and confident of their success. They all reflect excellence in academics and have demonstrated leadership skills through athletics and community service.”
