CHRISTIAN COALITION GIVES STEARNS PERFECT RATING FOR HIS VOTES

STEARNS RECEIVES 100-PERCENT RATING FROM CHRISTIAN COALITION

WASHINGTON, APRIL 24, 2012 – The Christian Coalition has released its scorecard rating members of Congress for their votes and Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-FL) received a perfect 100-percent rating.  The Christian Coalition selected one vote cast in 2010 and nine votes in 2011 in the House of Representatives, including opposing the repeal of the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy in the Department of Defense, supporting an amendment to prevent tax dollars from paying for abortions or educating students on how to perform abortions in medical residency programs, and a bill preventing the National Labor Relations Board from ordering any employer – such as the case of the Boeing Company in Charleston, SC – to close, relocate, or transfer employment under any circumstance.

“I’m honored to again receive this 100-percent rating from the Christian Coalition,” said Stearns.  “My record reflects a commitment to family values, the culture of life, and a stable economy that helps families prosper, and I appreciate this recognition from the Christian Coalition.”
