AWARDS PRESENTATION FOR CONGRESSIONAL ART COMPETITION ON SATURDAY

AT APPLETON MUSEUM OF ART IN OCALA ON APRIL 28, 2012 AT 1:00 PM

 

WASHINGTON, APRIL 25, 2012 – “Encouraging our young people to participate in the arts is a major reason for the Congressional Art Competition, and I’m proud of all the students who participated,” said Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-Sixth).  An awards ceremony will be held and the winners announced on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at an event from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the Appleton Museum of Art, 4333 N.E. Silver Springs Boulevard in Ocala.   Presenting the awards will be Stearns’ District Director, Sherrie Porter.  The competition is open to all high school students who live or attend school in the Sixth Congressional District.
